I think hubby can join the iron man. He runs, swims like a fish and now he bikes. After our New Zealand trip, he bought a bike and has been biking to work a few times a week --sometimes with Scooby in the back too. His work is around 13 miles away and he made a special basket for Scooby in the back. Everyone who sees him can't stop ooooing and awwwwing on how cute it is that the little pup is sitting in the back. I need to get a picture of it. It takes him only 10 minutes more to bike to work and it's quicker for him to bike home with the traffic. I get a little worried because cars are so obnoxious and a little guy in a bike can be kind of dangerous with cars going by at high speeds.
As for me, the opposite has happened. I have not been to the gym in ages. The last week that I tried to go to my body works class, I started getting stomach pains and got worried. I left the class early and now I just might cancel my gym membership for the time being. Before I can do that, they want a doctor's note, which I will try to get in March. I think it's best right now just to do some walking around the neighborhood with Scooby. Also since I still park off campus, I get about half an hour of mandatory walk time minimum a day.

Year of the RAT
So we are not much into Chinese or American horoscopes, but for special reaons we've taken interest in this year's. Here's what it says about the Year of the Rat:
People born in an Earth Rat are said to be logical realists, shrewd, charming, ambitious, and inventive. Of course, the entire horoscope must be considered when making any personality assessment. In Chinese, the Rat is respected and considered a courageous, enterprising person. People born in the Year of Rat are clever and bright, sociable and family-minded. They have broad interests and strong ability in adapting to the environment and able to react adequately to any changes. They are gifted in many ways and have an easy going manner. They are active and pleasant, tactful and fantastic, and are able to grasp opportunities. They seem to have interests in everything and hope to participate in doing it and usually do it very well.
Sounds great!

Scooby's first snow trip
We didn't realize how much snow there was going to be when we decided to drive up to Cuyamacca to hike with Scooby and my mom. That little guy had a blast. He was running around freely and even swam across the stream to realize that the water was too cold for him. His paws got so dirty from the mud, but we managed to clean him off pretty good when we got home with a nice warm bath. Here are the pictures from today's festivities:

Happy Valentines!
Valentines Day is overrated, but I have to say it's nice to receive long stem roses and godiva chocolates from my hubby when he came to work today and surprised me. We are going out to eat sushi tonight and then continuing the celebration this weekend where we'll hike in Cuyamacca and have a picnic with Scooby. It's so nice not to have to work on Saturdays anymore so I can plan whatever I want and whenever time is convenient for me. I'm loving it!
I have also been wetting my feet in becoming a real estate agent by showing my client a bunch of homes in Mira Mesa. I think we've seen about 30 homes so far. It's so fun and hopefully it can be very rewarding in the end. I'm pretty excited to venture into this new business. Woohooo. I'm also excited to take some classes either in photography or ?? The choices are many!
