We go to work

Twice a week I get to go to work with Daddy on his bike. See the little basket that was added just for me? The red cloth goes over my head to keep me from falling out. I love biking to work with daddy! Everytime he brings me to work, we also get to go to the park during lunch to have lunch together. I love the park and I love daddy!

Goodbye G35, Hello Tacoma

The understanding was that we would sell the G35 once I got pregnant. So just this Friday, a lady bought her dream car off of us. She looked at a few G35's and when she saw ours, she immediately told her mom, "I saw my car today!" She would have paid full listing price for it, but we deducted the price to buy new tires since the back tires were on it's last breath. I have to admit the car was very nice. We never saw another one that had all the packages on it. Too bad it's a stick shift, two doors and way too cramped in the back to carry a baby seat.

So he's also been looking for a Toyota Tacoma (2004 and older) since after that, the Tacoma started looking as big as a Tundra. He didn't want something bulky with extra weight that wasn't necessary. Let me tell you that the Toyota Tacoma 2004 and older trucks are very sought after because everyone seems to have the same opinion about the new Tacomas. The blue book on those Tacoma doesn't represent the real value of what people would pay for it. Also, they fly off the listings. Well, we saw one listed in Los Angeles for a very good deal so went up there to take a look at it. The truck ended up being in the middle of Watts. The guy posted it for 3 months and no one came to take a look at it after they found out what neighborhood he lived in. Even after Allen talked to him, the guy told us he didn't live in a safe neighboorhood and to meet at a nearby park where there is a lot of people. Doesn't that sound totally worrisome? Against my better judgment, we go there and meet him anyway. This guy was the most hard working, old Mexican guy I've ever met. Very genuine and trustworthy and he just can't sell his truck. This truck had only 34,000 miles on it and he only drove it 2,000 miles since he's bought it off his friend who was sick. It was hooked up with a 2,000 camper shell and bedliner. All this wasn't listed on the original listing. We got such a sweet deal on the truck and all we had to do was drive into Watts to get it. What an experience!

It's for real

So it's real afterall and it wasn't just in my head all this time. There is a little person-to-be growing inside of me. On the monitor while they were performing the ultrasound, you could see the heart beating really fast! It is so amazing that this embryo has a heart beat. Since we found out about my pregnancy, it was really surreal since I really didn't feel any major symptoms until about last week. I guess seeing it through an ultrasound makes me believe it more.

So the baby's head is to the right. It's the biggest round, solid bulb. His/her body is curled up with the backside upwards and there's the umbilical chord connected to the stomach. It's so cute! Maybe we are using our imaginations a bit, but we could totally see how it's shaped like a baby.

I'm thankful that I have not had true morning sickness. So far (knocking on wood), I have just been queasy and not have much of an appetite (which is hard to believe). Also, just feeling bloated and tired 24/7. Looking forward to the doctor's appointments that have all been scheduled up to the baby's due date. It'll be an October baby, like me :)

Puppy love

I caught Scooby sleeping in this position on our bed and I couldn't resist, but get a photo of him. He looks so comfy! What a little bear wolf. That's our nickname for him since he looks half bear and half wolf.

Losing a lot of quarters

We went to celebrate Allen's big sis' birthday last weekend in Temecula. We played a Vietnamese card game for quarters and lost more than $10! Next weekend we will go up to Escondido's little race track to celebrate the nephew's birthday.
